Happy First Birthday to our Lynk

Today was Lynks first birthday. We had so much fun celebrating. We woke up and had a special breakfast. After that we went to the Aquarium of the Pacific. (thank you Lyndsey) Lynk had fun with the birds and sharks. He loved walking around to all the different fish. After we ate a picnic lunch inside we drove home. Lynk was asleep so he missed all the fun. Lets just say it was more like a boat ride home then a car ride. We were driving on streets that had flooded side walks going into peoples yard. We did make it home safe. We took an awesome walk after it stopped raining. To finish the day off we had a spaghetti dinner with dino garlic bread. Lynk got to take and extra long bath and then he played chase me then I'll chase you. We read our books and he watched his favorite youtube video. (Old mac Donald) It was such a great day. I know he had fun.

One year ago today we met the love we have been waiting for our whole life. Both Kurtis and I were meant to be parents from birth. Finally we met our Lynk. Our hearts filled in half a moment with the most love we could ever feel. It was an unselfish love and a selfish love. It was a protective love and a joyous love. It was the kind of love that makes you understand how much God love us. That love has grown stronger and we are welcoming Lynk to toddler hood with joy and hope. We have loved seeing him grow so much. We are looking forward to seeing what this second year of life brings to him.

Christian and Veah...Oh so cute!
